# The assigner’s system of record.

assignary is where a chapter staffs its weekend: the events written once, each seat offered to somebody cleared for it, the work recorded, and the crew that worked paid.

## What it is

One slate for officiating and adjudication: who is free, who was offered which seat, who took it, whether the game was worked, and what each official was paid. Not a group text and a spreadsheet.

An assigner writes the events — a referee crew on a match, a judging panel on a competition division — and offers each seat to somebody cleared for it. The official answers on their phone. The assigner sees what is covered, marks who worked, and settles the weekend, and the fees they wrote follow the crew that worked it.

## Who it is for

**The assigner.** You write the weekend — Saturday’s matches, Sunday’s panels — send the offers, and pay the people who worked.

**The official.** Referee or judge, they see the seat, the venue, and the pay. They tap yes or no.

**The association.** One slate for the chapter — a soccer club, a cheer circuit, a marching-arts league. Whatever you staff, whoever works it.

## What it holds to

The slate belongs to the chapter that wrote it. The roster, the events and the offers are that organization’s, and it decides who may look, who may offer, and who gets paid.

The assigner makes the calls. assignary does not decide who is certified, who is close enough, or who gets paid, and it accepts a seat on somebody’s behalf only when that person told it in advance to accept exactly that kind of seat.

The fee on a seat is the official’s. Stripe moves the money, the official is transferred the whole fee the assigner wrote, and what a chapter pays on top is on the [pricing page](https://assignary.com/pricing).

There is no password to take. A person signs in with a code sent to their email, or with a passkey on a device they already carry.

Nothing is sold. We do not sell the roster or the Saturday, and we do not use a chapter’s officials, events or pay to train anyone else’s model. What is kept, and how to take it with you, is on the [privacy page](https://assignary.com/privacy).

A record can be checked. An official can hand somebody a signed receipt of their own record, and whoever they show it to checks it against a published key without asking us.

Help gets a credential, not a sign-in. An assistant works on a credential a person issues for one chapter, with the jobs they picked, until a date they set — and taking it back turns down its very next request.

## Where it runs

Assigners work in the console at [app.assignary.com](https://app.assignary.com/), in a browser. Officials and judges answer from their phone, in the app or the console. Amazon Web Services hosts assignary in the United States, and Stripe handles payments and payouts.
